Cravat Heroes: The Next Generation
This handsome young fellow, who seems to be wondering if the missus's dress is quite the thing, is Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher (and the missus is of course Demi Moore). Needless to say, Kutcher's neckwear looks fabulous, elevating the star of Dude Where's My Car? above the Hollywood pack, and placing him firmly in the tradition of such great cravat men as Cary Grant and David Niven. Words duly noted Nige, not however the sartorial selection I would choose for a grab-a-Granny nite.
ReplyDeleteEventually, I suppose, you will get around to Terence Alexander.
Ah yes - Terence Alexander - half man half cravat...
ReplyDeleteWhy not show us someone wearing a cravat and a baseball cap? Then you could headline it
ReplyDelete"Cravat and Crap Hat".
Dearieme, no one who wears a cravat cld possibly contemplate wearing a 'baseball cap' - tho they might possibly be tempted by other forms of 'crap hat', say a deerstalker...
ReplyDeleteA few sartorial observations: Mr Kutcher’s cravat is a tad low slung, his trousers appear to be falling over his shoes, his coat/jacket thingy looks a little on the large size – and does his shirt have a collar? Would he not also benefit with some trees for his rather creased shoes? Ms Moore is looking relatively innocuous, if not demi-ure.
ReplyDeleteGiven the significant age difference between him and Demi Moo-er, perhaps he was wearing a cravat to lend an air of worldly-wise maturity? A top tip for all those toy boys out there.
ReplyDeleteI know Susan - he's not making much of an effort. The pix where he's really looking the business were strangely inaccessible.
ReplyDeleteDeer stalkers are remarkable hats and not at all crap.
ReplyDeleteAhem.
ReplyDeleteI saw Michael Aspel wearing one on Antiques Roadshow this evening. Looking remarkably dapper
