Just once in a while, something rather wonderful turns up on my Facebook timeline (as I believe it's called), amid all the wildly off-target advertising and other dross. This morning it was a video of the King's Singers performing Thomas Tallis's beautiful setting of the Compline hymn Te lucis ante terminum at St Giles, Cripplegate. It's good to know that this group, originally formed by six choral scholars at my old college, is still going strong.

  1. Beautiful!

My Facebook is advertising a nursing home to me today!! I'm 32!

  2. Good old Facebook – it's when they start getting the targeting spot-on you need to start worrying. I've been offered another chance to buy church vestments at knock-down prices.

    1. Good point. Maybe you should take the plunge and buy some vestments. They might be very comfortable. And who knows when they might come in handy?

For years youtube plagued me with adverts for 'single muslim dot com'... (I'm neither) I think I broke the algorithm by using it only to listen to modern classical music. Though there does seem to be an Arabic theme to my targeted advertising for some reason!
